Peshawar Zalmi, led by Babar Azam will start their campaign on February 18 against Quetta Gladiators in PSL 2024 edition. The 2017 winners look quite formidable when it comes to their batting lineup, though they lack a bit of variety in the bowling department.
Zalmi's batting lineup features explosive players like Tom-Kohler Cadmore, Rovman Powell, Asif Ali, Saim Ayub and Mohammad Haris, renowned for their power-hitting prowess.

While the skipper Babar provides stability and balance to this lineup. They have the problem of plenty to choose from when it comes to the batting department, which is always a good one to have.
However, Peshawar Zalmi seems to fall short of their bowling resources. They lack bench strength in their bowling lineup, unlike the batting department. Zalmi's rely heavily on the Afghanistan duo Naveen-ul-Haq and Noor Ahmad to do most of the bidding for them.
Nonetheless, there's a question mark on the availability of both of them for the entire tournament. Due to their prior commitments to their national side, Afghanistan will be hosting Ireland for a series in Abu Dhabi. And probable chances of PSL playoffs coinciding with IPL's inauguration in March.
Although their batting department looks quite formidable, Zalmi's bowling lineup has issues like a shortage of genuine local pacers and the availability of overseas players. This will exert further pressure on the likes of Salman Irshad and Mohammad Zeeshan.
