Peshawar Zalmi vs Multan Sultans, PSL 2024: Who Said What
Babar Azam, Player of the Match: "Not easy. It isn't easy to defend at Rawalpindi. We bowled well in the first 6 overs. The dropped chance of Iftikhar could have costed us. Captaincy doesn't bother me much. I look to execute my skills. It is not about coming in and hitting sixes every ball.
"People have been talking about my strike-rate. But I focus on the situation and my strengths. The last three overs from Mumtaz helped us. We need to be more consistent. We need to be better at fielding. We can execute better with the bat as Rawalpindi is batting friendly."
Salman Irshad: "I was focussing on my strengths. I bowled a wide. Iftikhar plays the incoming delivery well. During the meetings, Babar tells us not to concede more than 10 per over. 180 is easily chaseable here at Rawalpindi. We have won batting first. Our openers give us a good start at the top. I have been playing with Akram bhai for three years now. He keeps backing me and keeps telling me to focus on my strengths."
