Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan made his grievances heard against DRS on Thursday (February 22) as he felt the technology wrongly adjudged his counterpart Rilee Rossouw not out during their latest defeat to Quetta Gladiators.
Following the survival, Rossouw went on to score a 34 not out to help his side crucially chase down a tricky target of 139 on a slow surface at the Gadaffi Stadium in Lahore. Shadab Khan, however, was sure that Rossouw was out lbw in the 11th over.

"I think technology was at fault for this loss. We were shown a different ball as to the review ( the review of Rossouw)," said I bowled 4 overs as a leg spinner, it wasn't turning much. This one showed impact outside off and spinning away further. In a big tournament like this, there shouldn't be such mistakes."
The incident happened when Islamabad United were bullish and going after Quetta Gladiators' top order with almost a wicket every over. Batting at 13 runs off 18 balls at that point, the South African tried to sweep an uppish delivery but missed the line as the ball went on to hit the pads.
Umpire Aleem Dar gave it out but Rosouw took the DRS review right after. Replays revealed that the impact was outside off stump while the ball went on to miss the stumps as it turned sharply away from the batter.
Following the survival, Rossouw went on to have a 62-run stand with Sherfane Rutherford for the fifth wicket (29 runs off 23 balls). There were late jitters for Quetta as they lost quick wickets in the death over but the equation was below run-a-ball by the time Rutherford got out while Rossouw ensured the target was achieved.
Quetta Gladiators posted their third win on the go in PSL 2024 and are now second on the table behind Multan Sultans on net run rate while being tied on points.
