PSL 2025 Retention List: Babar to Rizwan - Players Retained by Teams Before Pakistan Super League Draft

PSL 2025 Retentions List: All six teams on Saturday (January 4) revealed their retained players for the upcoming season of Pakistan Super League ahead of the PSL Draft, which is scheduled to be held next week.

Each franchise was allowed a maximum of eight retentions from their existing squads, and three franchises made full use of the retentions except Karachi Kings, Multan Sultans and Peshawar Zalmi - who retained seven players each.

Pakistan's top stars Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah, Shadab Khan, Salman Ali Agha, Saim Ayub, Abdullah Shafique, Fakhar Zaman, Saud Shakeel and Haris Rauf were among the retained active local players.

Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim, who announced their retirement from international cricket for the second time last year, are some of the former Pakistan players, who were retained as mentors of their respective teams.

Meanwhile, James Vince, Colin Munro, Akeal Hosein, David Willey, Chris Jordan, Rilee Rossouw, Sikandar Raza, David Wiese and Tim Seifert are retained foreign players ahead of the PSL Draft 2025. Here is a look at the PSL 2025 Retention List:

Islamabad United 2025 Retained Players List: Shadab Khan and Naseem Shah (both Platinum), Imad Wasim (mentor) and Azam Khan (Diamond), Salman Ali Agha (Brand Ambassador) and Haider Ali (Both Gold, Colin Munro and Rumman Raees (both Silver).

Multan Sultans 2025 Retained Players List: Mohammad Rizwan and Usama Mir (both Platinum), David Willey (mentor), Iftikhar Ahmed (Brand Ambassador) and Usman Khan (all Diamond), Chris Jordan (Gold), Faisal Akram (Silver).

Peshawar Zalmi 2025 Retained Players List: Babar Azam, Saim Ayub (both Platinum), Mohammad Haris (Diamond), Arif Yaqoob, Mehran Mumtaz and Sufyan Moqim (Brand Ambassador) (all silver), Ali Raza (Emerging).

Quetta Gladiators 2025 Retained Players List: Abrar Ahmed, Mohammad Amir (mentor) and Rilee Rossouw (all Diamond), Akeal Hosein, Saud Shakeel (Brand Ambassador) and Mohammad Wasim Jnr (all Gold), Khawaja Muhammad Nafay and Usman Tariq (Silver).

Karachi Kings 2025 Retained Players List: Hasan Ali and James Vince (both Diamond), Muhammad Irfan Khan and Shan Masood (both Gold), Arafat Minhas (Brand Ambassador), Tim Seifert and Zahid Mehmood (all Silver).
