PSL 2025: Three Peshawar Zalmi players who will play Key Part this Season

Peshawar Zalmi has formulated a strong squad ahead of the Pakistan Super League this season.

The PSL 2025 is set to start soon and the Zalmis have a decent team in hand, which is expected to be led by Babar Azam.

In the PSL 2025 draft, they brought in some excellent players along with the existing stars. Saim Ayub, Babar Azam, Mohammad Haris are their local stars, while foreign recruitment includes the likes of Bangladesh's Nahid Rana, who has been a stellar performer in recent past. Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Alzarri Joseph are key foreign additions for them.

Babar Azam

Babar Azam is undoubtedly one of the best top-order batsmen in T20 cricket and the linchpin for Peshawar Zalmi. His consistency and ability to anchor the innings while accumulating runs at a healthy strike rate make him vital to Peshawar's batting strength. As captain, Babar's tactical acumen and prowess as batter will be pivotal for Peshawar as they look to win another PSL title.

Babar was the top scorer in the PSL last year. The elite Pakistani batter scored 569 runs in the tournament at a strike rate of 142, notching 1 century and 5 fifties in the process.

Alzarri Joseph

Alzarri Joseph brings pace and aggression to Peshawar Zalmi's bowling attack. Known for his pace and ability to bowl yorkers in the death overs, Joseph's role as a strike bowler is crucial. His capability to bowl at high speeds and take key wickets during critical phases of the game will make him an essential player in Peshawar's quest for PSL glory.

Nahid Rana
