PSL 2025: The Pakistan Super League has set a new benchmark in trophy unveilings with an extraordinary deep-sea ceremony off the coast of Karachi. In a breathtaking display of innovation and grandeur, Colombian cliff diving legend Orlando Duque, in collaboration with the Pakistan Navy, retrieved the coveted PSL 10 trophy, 'Luminara,' from the depths of the Arabian Sea.

In a video released by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Duque can be seen plunging into the sea to recover a treasure chest containing the dazzling trophy. Upon reaching the shore, he presented it to PSL CEO Salman Naseer, former Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed, and other dignitaries, marking a momentous occasion in the league's history.

Luminara, a name derived from the Latin words for "light" and "torch," symbolizes the PSL's decade-long journey of excellence, passion, and brilliance. The trophy is a stunning masterpiece, crafted from a single sheet of solid silver and adorned with 22,850 high-luster zircon stones. Weighing 10 kilograms, it reflects the relentless energy and competitive spirit that define Pakistan's premier T20 competition.

The unveiling ceremony, a first of its kind in cricket, encapsulated the essence of PSL's evolution over the years. Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi described the event as a tribute to the league's commitment to innovation and excellence. "As we celebrate a decade of HBL PSL, this trophy represents the league's shining legacy and its bright future," he stated.

Echoing the sentiment, PSL CEO Salman Naseer remarked, "The PSL has always been about pushing boundaries, both on and off the field. Just as the sea holds depth and mysteries, our league is a deep reservoir of talent, resilience, and sportsmanship."

The landmark 10th edition of the PSL is set to kick off on April 11, 2025, featuring matches in Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi. The tournament opener will see defending champions Islamabad United lock horns with Lahore Qalandars at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, setting the stage for what promises to be an electrifying season
