PSL 2026: Babar Azam Equals New Record With 588 Runs In Season 11, Falls Just Short Of New Milestone

Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam finished Pakistan Super League 11 with 588 runs, yet missed sole ownership of the record for most runs in one season, staying level with Fakhar Zaman’s 588 for Lahore Qalandars in 2022.

Babar’s campaign stayed dominant overall. Across 11 PSL 11 matches, Babar scored 588 runs at an average of 73.50. The innings included two hundreds and three half-centuries, underlining a consistent run that kept Peshawar Zalmi competitive through the tournament.

PSL 2026: Batting Records & Run Milestones

One of Babar’s standout performances in PSL 11 came in the Qualifier against Islamabad United. Babar hit 103 from 59 balls, with 12 fours and four sixes. That innings powered Peshawar Zalmi to 221 for seven in 20 overs, a total that placed heavy pressure on Islamabad United.

The 57-ball hundred against Islamabad United was Babar’s second century of PSL 11. By reaching three figures twice in one season, Babar became only the second player to do this in PSL history, joining Usman Khan, who achieved the same mark during PSL 9.
