PSL 2024, which is slated to be played between February 13 and March 18 next year, will be held across four cities in Pakistan. Peshawar, Karachi, Multan and Lahore are the four host cities.
While big players such as Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Shadab Khan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, Alex Hales, Naseem Shah, Sikandar Raza, Jason Roy, Rashid Khan, Rilee Rossouw among others were retained or traded by their franchises, several others will be picked up today at the PSL Draft 2024
West Indies (58 players), Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and South Africa have 40, 36, and 30 players, respectively in the player's draft. Cricketers from Bangladesh, New Zealand, Australia, Zimbabwe, and Ireland completed the list of full member countries in the draft.
Ahead of the ultimate roster announcement, nine players experienced an elevation in their designated categories, while a handful of players faced demotion. Individuals with a history of international representation for Pakistan are safeguarded from being demoted to a category lower than gold in the PSL Draft.
The finalisation of local players' categories takes into account various factors, encompassing national team achievements, domestic performances, and the perceived T20 brand value.
