PSL Match Result: The PSL 2024 match 11 between Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators finished with an enthralling win for Multan Sultans by 13 runs at Multan Cricket Stadium in Multan on Sunday (February 25).

Multan bowlers defended the score of 180 and handed Quetta Gladiators their first defeat by 13 runs. Player of the match Mohammad Ali took 3/19. David Willey (3/37) and Aftab Ibrahim (2/26) were among the wickets as well, helping Multan to get over the line.

Khawaja Nafay (36 runs off 31 balls) and Rilee Rossouw ( 30 runs off 18 balls) were the highest run scorer for the Gladiators. The skipper Mohammad Rizwan (51 runs off 42 balls) and Rezaa Hendricks (72 runs off 47 balls) were the protagonists from the batting lineup of Multan. Tayyab Tahir (35 runs off 22 balls) little cameo in the death overs helped Multan to set the target of 181. Mohammad Amir ( 2/46) was the highest wicket-taker for the Quetta.

Quetta Gladiators won the toss and opted to field. The Sultan's batters, led by Mohammad Rizwan started aggressively. Usman Khan got off to a brisk start but couldn't capitalise and got out against Abrar Ahmed. Then, Rizwan and Hendricks formed the biggest partnership for Multan.

Both ended up scoring fifties. After Rizwan got out, Tayyab Tahir and Reeza Hendricks changed gears and scored 49 runs in the last three overs. The home team finished on a high with a score of 180-4 (20 overs).

However, Quetta lost Jason Roy very early at the hands of Mohammad Ali. Saud Shakeel looked dangerous but fell to David Willey. Nafay and Rilee then had a 62-run partnership and posed a threat to the target. But the wicket of Rossouw turned things around and Multan took over the game. After that, no one could build the partnership and they lost the game by 13 runs.
