PSL Match Result: The PSL 2024 match 6 between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings resulted in a comfortable win for Karachi Kings by seven wickets at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Wednesday (February 24).
The Karachi kings's bowlers laid the foundation of a win, restricting the Peshawar side to a total of 154-10 (19.5 overs). Babar Azam (72 runs off 51 balls) was the highest scorer for the Peshawar team. While Mir Hamza (3/28) and Hasan Ali (3/30) were the highest wicket-taker among the Kings bowling lineup.

However, Karachi Kings chased down the target of 155 runs at the loss of just three wickets within 16.5 overs. Luke Wood (2/20) was the highest wicket-taker among bowlers. e20 veteran Kieron Pollard played the thunderous knock of 49 runs off 21 balls, and James Vince played an anchor role, scoring 38 runs off 30 balls.
The Karachi Kings opted to bowl and asked the Peshawar team to set a target after winning the toss. The Zalmi's batters didn't start off well, lost Saim Ayub on the very first ball of the game, bowled by experienced Shoaib Malik. After that, the Peshawar batters weren't able to score freely, scoring 42/3 in the first six overs.
The skipper Babar Azam once again was the pick of the batters and the highest scorer for the Zalmis. After that, only Rovman Powell (39 runs off 25 balls) and Asif Ali (23 runs off 16 balls) were the two batters who reached the double figures. As a result, the Zalmi's ended up scoring 154-10 (19.5 overs).
On the other hand, Karachi King's bowlers were on the mark today. They didn't allow batters to gain any kind of momentum in the game by picking up wickets at regular intervals. Mir Hamza and Hasan Ali took six wickets among both of them.
However, with the target in front of them, the Peshawar batters approached the chase pragmatically. They kept the wickets in hand initially, while maintaining the required run rate. After the departure of Shoaib Malik, Pollard came in to bat. His partnership with James Vince brought the game home for the Kings, while both remained not out.
