With almost the unveiling of the 9th season of the PSL, the cricket extravaganza will bring joy and excitement to cricket lovers. Let's take a look at three significant players of Quetta Gladiators and evaluate how they can change the fortune of their franchise through their performances.

Since winning the trophy in 2019, the Quetta Gladiators have been at the bottom of the table for the last few seasons. However, franchise and Gladiator fans must be hoping that this season will be different for them.

Jason Roy

The Englishman comes from the breed of players who believe that attack is the best form of defence. He's been part of the Gladiators since 2020 and has done arguably well for his franchise. He's been one of the bright spots for the Gladiators through this tough period.

Roy has scored 704 runs in 22 matches with an average of 37.05 and a strike rate of 139.96. He's also played a record-breaking knock of 145* (63) for Gladiators.

Mohammad Amir

The left-arm fast bowler, Amir would surely like to create an impression through his performance for his new franchise after releasing from Karachi Kings. He's been associated with the Kings since 2016 and contributed significantly over these years.

So far, he's taken 63 wickets in 66 matches, including three four-wicket hauls. However, this could be his last chance to earn himself a place in the national team. This could prove to be a catalyst for him this season.

Rilee Rossouw

The free-stroking left-hander and probably the new captain of the Quetta Gladiators after Sarfaraz opts out of captaincy brings flare and experience. He proved himself as a T20 specialist over the years through his performances for his national side and franchises.

His numbers speak for him, as he has scored 1592 runs in 63 matches with an average of 33.87 and a strike rate of 143.42 in PSL. He's also got two (100s) and seven (50s) to his name with the highest score of 121 runs.
