It will be a match to restore some pride for Quetta Gladiators, who have lost their last five matches in the PSL and need a win to keep themselves alive in the tournament. Quetta suffered yet another defeat on Sunday as they failed to defend 179 runs against Islamabad United.

Umar Akmal (43 off 14 balls) and Najibullah Zadran (59 off 34 balls) starred with the bat for Quetta but Islamabad chased the total down with three balls to spare. It was the fifth defeat in a row for the Gladiators as they sit at the bottom of the table. The Gladiators currently have just 2 points after 7 games as they have managed only a solitary victory so far this season.

Karachi Kings are also on the brink of elimination. They sit fifth in the table with just 4 points after 8 games and will need results to go in their favour to progress to the playoffs. The Kings also batted extremely well in the last match but failed to defend 201 runs against Islamabad United. They are on a two-match losing streak and will be aiming to get two points in a crucial match against fellow strugglers.
