Rachin Ravindra to Gerald Coetzee: Eight World Cup 2023 stars who can become millionaires in IPL 2024 auction

IPL 2024 auction is the next major attraction for the cricket lovers after the completion of the World Cup 2023 on Sunday, November 19. The mini-auction has got a boost as each team’s purse has been substantially boosted, going from Rs 95 crore from the previous auction to Rs 100 crore.

The IPL 2024 auction is most certainly to be held in Dubai on December 19. Apart from the released players from all the ten teams, the players who made headlines in the World Cup 2023 will also catch major eyeballs.

As many as eight World Cup 2023 players will be in focus and could possibly finish the day as millionaires. These players will be hit properties in the IPL 2024 auction because of their match-winning abilities. Also, most of them are very young and can serve as a good long term prospect for the teams.

World Cup 2023 stars who can become millionaires in IPL 2024 auction

Rachin Ravindra: New Zealand would be one of the biggest attractions at the IPL 2024 auction. The 23-year-old southpaw was on fire in the World Cup 2023. He scored 578 runs at an average of 64.22 and a strike rate of 106.44. He also picked five wickets with his left-arm spin bowling.

Dilshan Madushanka: The 23-year-old Sri Lanka left-arm pacer picked 21 wickets in nine matches at an average of 25 and an economy rate of 6.70. He finished with the third-highest wickets in the tournament.

Gerald Coetzee: The 23-year-old South Africa pacer was mighty impressive in the World Cup 2023. He finished as the joint fourth-highest wicket-taker. He gave it his all in the semi-final against Australia. Coetzee took 20 wickets at an average of 19.80 and an economy rate of 6.23.

Bas de Leede: The star Netherlands all-rounder picked 16 wickets in eight innings with his medium pacer bowling. The 24-year-old scored 139 runs only, but his batting potentials are far superior. He averages 31.73 and has a strike rate of 109.11 in T20 format.

Keshav Maharaj: The South Africa left-arm spinner was sensational with his left-arm bowling, and unplayable at times. He finished his World Cup 2023 campaign with 15 wickets in 10 matches at an average of 24.66 and an economy rate of 4.15.

Azmatullah Omarzai: The Afghanistan all-rounder scored 353 runs in nine matches at an average of 70.60 and a strike rate of 97.78. The 23-year-old pacer also picked seven wickets with his pace bowling.

Kusal Mendis: Sri Lanka captain Kusal Mendis started his World Cup 2023 with a bang. He lost the plot later but his 42-ball 76 against South Africa, and 77-ball 122 against Pakistan would keep the IPL franchises engaged.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz: Bangladesh's 26-year-old all-rounder is a star in making. He scored 201 runs and picked 10 wickets. His batting credentials are far superior. Bangladesh kept on changing his batting position and that impacted his numbers. Miraz can open as well as bat in the lower middle-order.
