Former India coach Rahul Dravid joined in a seminar at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru on Wednesday (September 4).
Dravid's former India teammates Anil Kumble and Javagal Srinath were also in attendance for the event, which was held for the match referees.

The match referee in cricket ensures the ICC laws and code of conduct is maintained during the course of a match. The referee stays off the field throughout the game, watching from a spectator area. This official does not influence any decisions related to the play or outcome of the match; the appointed umpires solely make those.
The primary duty of the match referee is to ensure adherence to the ICC Cricket Code of Conduct during the game. They evaluate any breaches of this code and impose penalties when necessary.
After each match, the referee prepares and submits a report to the ICC. This report includes any incidents or actions by players or umpires that might be concerning in terms of the Code of Conduct or the Laws of Cricket, which is crucial for the transparency and philosophy of the game.
BCCI released images of the seminar held in Bengaluru, where the referees were educated and guided about different perspectives of their roles. Javagal Srinath, who is an ICC match referee, was instrumental in the meeting.
"The participants were addressed by former Team India coaches and captains Rahul Dravid & Anil Kumble, ICC match referee Javagal Srinath, ICC Elite Panel Umpire Nitin Menon and Head Education NCA Sujith Somasundar to understand different perspectives," a statement from BCCI read.
Rahul Dravid recently left the post as India head coach after winning the T20 World Cup in June. The former India captain has been tipped to join an IPL team ahead of next season.
