Rahul Dravid asks BCCI to even out disparity in support staff cash reward

Bengaluru, February 6: Rahul Dravid is a happy man after his wards won the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2018 beating Australia by some distance. But the disparity in BCCI cash award has left him a not too pleasant man.

After India's title win in New Zealand, the BCCI had announced rewards for players, head coach Dravid and support staff in tune to Rs 30 lakh, Rs 50 lakh and Rs 20 lakh respectively.

India's support staff include bowling coach Paras
Mhambrey, fielding coach Abhay Sharma, physiotherapist Yogesh Parmar, trainer Anand Date, masseur Mangesh Gaikwad and video analyst Devraj Raut.

However, Dravid, it is learnt that Dravid is not too happy about him receiving a bigger reward than the rest of the support staff and has requested to even out the disparity in payment.

Dravid apparently told the BCCI officials that all the support staff has worked as a team during the entire length of the ICC U19 World Cup and there should not be any discrimination while announcing the rewards.
