Rahul Dravid-coached India 'A' to attend camp in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, July 11: After the senior Indian team's preparatory camp at the National Cricket Academy (NCA), it is now the turn of the 'A' side, coached by Rahul Dravid, to check into the academy for a strength and conditioning camp from tomorrow (July 12).

"India 'A' team will undergo Strength and Conditioning camp at the National Cricket Academy, Bengaluru from July 12 to 17, 2016. The weeklong programme aims to prepare the team for the forthcoming tour of Australia where they are scheduled to play one-day quadrangular series followed by two four-day games," the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said in a media release on Monday (July 11).

"The camp for the Naman Ojha-led 16-member squad will be conducted by team physiotherapist, Yogesh Parmar and trainer Anand Date in conjunction with NCA chief physiotherapist, Andrew Leipus and NCA trainer Rajinikant. Coach Rahul Dravid will also address the team during the course of the camp," it added.

Earlier this month, Virat Kohli-captained India had a preparatory camp for their tour of the Caribbean. They will play 4 Tests against the West Indies. The first match is in Antigua from July 21.

India 'A', Australia 'A', South Africa 'A' and Cricket Australia's (CA) National Performance Squad (NPS) will play a Quadrangular one-day series which includes 18 matches across Mackay, Brisbane and Townsville. The tournament starts on August 13. After this, India 'A' play Australia 'A' in 2 four-day matches in September.
