On day one of the first Test between West Indies and South Africa, play was restricted to just 15 overs due to rain, leaving South Africa at 45-1. Aiden Markram was dismissed early by Jason Holder.

Rain interrupted the first Test between South Africa and West Indies, with South Africa at 45-1. Aiden Markram was dismissed for nine by Jason Holder in the 14th over. Kemar Roach kept Markram on the back foot, but it was Holder's delivery that knocked out his off-stump.

Tony de Zorzi remained unbeaten on 32, while Tristan Stubbs was not out on two when play was halted during the tea break. The rain led to the abandonment of play for the day, resulting in a loss of 75 overs in Trinidad.
