Rajasthan beat Vidarbha by two wickets
Indore, Feb 20 (UNI) A scintillating unbeaten knock of 107 by Siddharth Joshi helped Rajasthan defeate Vidarbha by two wickets in a Central Zone Ranji league one-dayer here.
After winning the toss, the Rajputs elected to field. Harshal Shitoot (62) and Faiz Fazal (27) made a solid start by scoring 70 for the first wicket. But after Fazal returned to pavilion, two more wickets tumbled without adding a run. Shitoot then added 53 for the fourth wicket with M Acharya. Vidarbha were bowled out for 219 in 48 overs.
S Gehlot (3), Anshu Jain (3), Afroz Khan (2) and M Aslam (1) were the nain wicket-takers.
For Rajasthan, Joshi and Rohit Sharma (34) began well. The former's 107 included a six and eight hits to the fence. After Sharma fell, Joshi and Jain (27) added 67 runs for the second wicket. The lower order batsmen fell like ninepins but Joshi held the innings' together and led his team to victory in 48.5 overs for the loss of eight wickets.
Rajasthan pocketed a total 12 points from three consecutive wins.
