In a new turn of events in the Meerut brawl case between Ranji Trophy players and police personnels, a video has emerged showing the cricketers beating the cops with their slippers.
The incident caught on CCTV camera shows Vineet Pawar and Prashant Chaudhary assaulting two assistant sub-inspectors of police Varun Sharma and Jitendra Kumar first on Saturday night. The two policemen have been suspended following a complaint from the two cricketers.

As per reports in TOI, Sharma and Kumar were consuming alcohol in their vehicle when Pawar and Chaudhary, who were on their bike, requested them to remove their vehicle from the main gate of the Bhama Shah Park, also known as Victoria Park, where their cricket academy is situated.
A verbal spat soon escalated into a brawl. Meerut Police SSP Rohit Singh has informed that circle officer Arvind Chaurasia has analysed the footage and forwarded a new report to senior officials. "Let the officials examine the new evidence and take decision," Chaurasia has told IANS.
Panwar has played U-19 cricket for India and one Ranji Trophy match for Uttar Pradesh in 2017.
