The Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) has revealed its 18-player roster for the first two matches of the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 season.
Sai Kishore has been appointed as the captain for the initial match against Saurashtra scheduled from October 11 to 14 in Coimbatore. Kishore, a left-arm spinner, previously led Tamil Nadu to their first semi-final in the Ranji Trophy during the 2016-17 season and has been chosen to captain the team once again.

Alongside him, Narayan Jagadeesan has been selected as the vice-captain after his impressive performance last season. The team will be without Washington Sundar, the spin-bowling all-rounder, due to his commitments with the national team.
Despite injuries to key players during the Duleep Trophy, Tamil Nadu's squad includes Sandeep Warrier and Baba Indrajith. Warrier, the team's leading pace bowler, suffered a hamstring injury, while Indrajith, a prominent batter, also encountered a hamstring issue but bravely returned to bat in the fourth innings. Along with that, Manimaran Siddharth has received his first Ranji call-up after a decent outing in the Buchi Babu tournament.
Sai Sudharsan and Vijay Shankar are in the squad and both players will be hoping to score some runs under their belt. Teenager Andre Siddarth is also part of the team after the 18-year-old had some decent outings.
