The Ranji Trophy 2024 season has reached the final stage with the line up finalized after the pulsating semi-final clashes in Mumbai and Nagpur as record champions Mumbai and two-time winners Vidarbha set up the title clash.
Four teams, all former champions battled in the last four stage to book the final spot. The semi-final line up for 2024 season was Mumbai vs Tamil Nadu, and Vidarbha vs Madhya Pradesh.

While Mumbai led by Ajinkya Rahane sealed their spot in the summit clash with a dominating innings and 70 runs win over Tamil Nadu in semi-final 2, Madhya Pradesh took the semi-final 1 into the final day, when Vidarbha sealed a 62-run victory.
Shardul Thakur scored a stunning 109 on the second day to help Mumbai take a big lead of 232 runs in the first innings after TN folded for 146 at the BKC Ground in Mumbai. The all-rounder then claimed two wickets as TN were bowled out for 162 in the second innings.
Vidarbha, on the other hand, conceded a first innings lead of 82 after being bowled out for just 170 at the VCA Stadium, but they fought back through Yash Rathod century to set a foruth innings target of 321 before bowling out MP for 258.
