Ravindra Jadeja's father Anirudhsinh has opened up on the strained relationship with his son Ravindra Jadeja and daughter-in-law Rivaba. Anirudhsinh Jadeja has said that he has no relation with the star India all-rounder and his MLA wife Rivaba.
He has alleged that the rift started just a couple of months after Ravindra Jadeja's marriage with Rivaba in 2016. Anirudhsinh went on to add that he lives alone in Jamnagar, and doesn't even get to see his son when he is in the city.

"Do you want me to tell you one truth? I have absolutely no relation with Ravindra and his wife, Rivaba. We don't call them, and they don't call us. The issues started after two or three months of their marriage.
“I currently live alone in Jamnagar, while Ravindra resides in a separate bungalow of his own. He lives in the same city, but I don't get to see him. I don't know what magic his wife has done on him," Jadeja’s father said in an interview with Divya Bhaskar.
'Would have been better if Ravindra Jadeja was not a cricketer'
As per Ravindra Jadeja's father, Rivaba asked for all the properties and other things transferred on her name just months after the marriage. He stated that he hasn't seen his granddaughter for five years now and that the in-laws of Ravindra Jadeja have taken charge of everything.
"He is my son, and it burns my heart. I wish I hadn't gotten him married. It would have been better if he hadn't become a cricketer. We would not have to go through all this in that case," Jadeja’s father said.
"I don't call Ravindra, and I don't need him. He is not my father; I am his father. He is the one who is supposed to call me. All of this makes me cry. His sister also weeps on Rakshabandhan.
"We have worked very hard to make Ravindra a cricketer. I used to carry 20-litre milk cans on my shoulder to earn money. I have even worked as a watchman. We come from a humble background. His sister has done even more than me. She took care of him as a mother. However, he hasn't kept any relations with his sister either.
"Within three months of the marriage, she told me that everything should be transferred to her name. She created a rift in our family. She didn't want the family and desired an independent life. I could be wrong, and Naynaba (Ravindra's sister) could be wrong, but you tell me, how can all 50 members of our family be wrong? There's no relation with anyone in the family; there's just hate."
"I don't want to hide anything. We haven't even seen the face of our granddaughter in five years. Ravindra's in-laws manage everything. They interfere in everything. They are making merry now because they have got a bank," Jadeja’s father added.
Ravindra Jadeja completed 15 years in international cricket on Thursday, February 8. He is currently at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru, recovering from a hamstring injury. He is likely to return for the third Test at home ground in Rajkot.
