RCB Launches Made Of Bold Sports Development Programme For Young Athletes

In an ambitious move to nurture and elevate India's athletic prowess, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) has taken a giant leap with the introduction of the Made of Bold Sports Development Programme.

This initiative marks a significant stride towards building a robust sports infrastructure within the country, focusing on the holistic growth of athletes. At the heart of this initiative lies the collaboration between RCB and notable non-governmental organizations, including the GoSports Foundation and Bridges of Sports Foundation. Initially setting its sights on empowering 25 junior athletes under the Bridges of Sports Foundation, the programme envisions engaging over 400 children through a competitive two-tier league. The ultimate goal is to prepare these athletes for higher echelons of competition, including state and national levels, with the top 25 performers receiving extensive support to hone their skills.

The programme kicks off its journey in Mundgod, located in the Uttara Kannada district, renowned for housing the Siddi Community, known for their remarkable sprinting abilities.

RCB's initiative seeks to transform Mundgod into a veritable "sprint capital," tapping into the local youth's fervent admiration for Olympic heroes and their inherent passion for athletics. This move not only aims to spotlight Mundgod's exceptional talents but also sets the stage for India to uncover and polish its vast, untapped sporting potential.

Rajesh Menon, Vice President & Head of RCB, underscored the programme's dedication to fostering long-term athletic development across India. "Our goal is to create a sustainable sports ecosystem that nurtures talent and enables athletes to reach their full potential," he stated.
