Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will open their IPL 2024 campaign at the home of the champions Chennai Super Kings on March 22 as per the first 17 days schedule released by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
In a high-voltage Southern Derby, Virat Kohli will face MS Dhoni as RCB take on defending champions Chennai Super Kings in the tournament opener at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

The BCCI had earlier released the schedule for matches from March 22 to April 7, during which 21 matches will be played. RCB will play four more matches as per the partial schedule released by BCCI on Thursday (February 22).
Faf Du Plessis led side, who are yet to lift the IPL title, will follow the trip to Chennai with a hattrick of home games, starting with a clash against Punjab Kings followed by another potential high-voltage game as Gautam Gambhir returns to Bengaluru with Kolkata Knight Riders.
The M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru will then play hosts to Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants. The Bengaluru-based side, who will be coached by Andy Flower, will then travel to Jaipur for their last fixture.
Inaugural champions Rajasthan Royals will host RCB at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. The remainder of the schedule was announced on Monday (March 25).
As per that schedule, RCB will play their remaining home games against CSK, Gujarat Titans, Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Here is the full RCB 2024 schedule:
