The Royal Challengers Bangalore team placed sixth in the IPL 2023 standings. After 14 league games, Royal Challengers Bangalore had won seven of them. Despite having a strong start to the season, RCB were unable to finish it. They also had a decline in their NRR, finishing at 0.135.
In the IPL 2023, Faf du Plessis, the captain of RCB, finished as the team's top run scorer. Throughout the entire season, Faf was dependable and amassed eight half-centuries in 14 league games.
If Royal Challenge Bangalore had participated in the postseason, Faf might have achieved the 800-run mark as well. In 14 games, Faf scored 730 runs at an average of 56.15. He batted with a strike rate of 153.68 and attempted to bat aggressively from the first ball. He hit 96 boundaries with 60 fours and 36 sixes off of 475 balls faced.
Mohammed Siraj, a pacer, had an excellent season with the ball and was occasionally in the running for the purple hat. Siraj did contribute during the season despite Josh Hazlewood's absence for the most part, but he did not have enough help from the other end. Siraj amassed 19 wickets at an excellent economy rate of 7.50 in 14 league games. The most improved white ball player in recent years is Siraj.
