RCB have the second-biggest purse in the IPL auction and that means they will be going after several players in the auction. They do need a leader who will be captaining them in the next IPL cycle. A lot of bidding from the RCB contingent at the Mega event in Jeddah is expected.

RCB's heartbeat and leader, Virat Kohli remains the cornerstone of the franchise. Coming off a stellar IPL 2024 season where he won the Orange Cap with 741 runs, Kohli's retention was a foregone conclusion. Rajat Patidar was another retained player for the Bengaluru outfit, while uncapped Indian pacer Yash Dayal was the final piece of their jigsaw before the bidding extravaganza.
