RCB player wins State T20 Crown after IPL 2025 Success, plays crucial knock in Final

By MyKhel Staff

Fresh off a title-winning IPL 2025 campaign with Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Jitesh Sharma added another feather to his cap on Sunday, guiding NECO Master Blaster to a dominant seven-wicket win over Pagariya Strikers in the final of the Vidarbha Pro T20 League 2025.

Chasing a challenging 179, NECO's campaign was anchored by opener Vedant Dighade, who crafted a superb 80 off 52 balls (8 fours, 4 sixes). But it was skipper Jitesh who once again turned the tide decisively, smashing an unbeaten 30 off just 11 deliveries to seal the chase in just 17.5 overs.

Jitesh Sharma won IPL 2025 with RCB

Jitesh's finishing act mirrored his rich vein of form in the IPL earlier this year, where he played a pivotal role in RCB's title run. The aggressive wicketkeeper-batter had scored 261 runs at a blistering strike rate of 176 for RCB, including a match-defining 85 against LSG - a knock that showcased his power and temperament on the big stage.

In the final on Sunday, NECO looked in control for the most part. After Dighade's composed yet aggressive innings at the top, Aryan Meshram (42 off 26) and Adhyayan Daga (22 off 16) ensured the momentum never dipped. Even after a brief wobble in the middle overs, Jitesh's late onslaught - featuring three sixes and a four - ensured a clinical finish.

Earlier, Pagariya Strikers posted 178/7 thanks to a valiant 82 off 45 balls from Shivam Deshmukh. Despite early blows, Deshmukh's counterattack lifted the innings, supported by handy cameos from Md Faiz and Vishesh Tiwari. For NECO, Sanmesh Deshmukh was the standout with the ball, finishing with 3 wickets.

With this win, Jitesh Sharma caps off a stellar summer - lifting silverware at both the national and regional level, and further reinforcing his credentials as one of India's most impactful T20 performers. The RCB star will be hoping for a callup to the India T20I team for the upcoming assignments, which is at earliest in August against Bangladesh.
