As the IPL 2024 journey ends for Royal Challengers Bengaluru, the franchise will be looking forward to planning for the IPL 2025 season.
RCB had a decent outing to the season, which could have all gone wrong. They made a stellar comeback with six consecutive victories to book a place in the playoffs, but the trophy quest still remains a distant dream for them.

As the current cycle ends, a mega-auction is around the corner. Ahead of the IPL 2025, the Ten teams will be reshuffling their squad. As per the traditional practice, the teams will be allowed to a maximum of 4 players from the current squad. Although there is talk of retaining a maximum of upto 8 players, it is yet to be confirmed as franchises are in dialogue with BCCI.
RCB, in their quest to win their first IPL title, is likely to bolster their squad, which means there will be various departures from the franchise. If RCB are to pick four players for retention, here are the players who may find a deal-
The undisputed star of RCB, Virat Kohli is going to be a part of the franchise without a shadow of a doubt. Kohli has ended the IPL 2024 in a prolific fashion as he scored 741 runs this season. The India stalwart is synonymous with RCB and is certain to be retained ahead of IPL 2025.
Will Jacks has emerged as one of the emerging stars for RCB this season. The young English batter is renowned for his power hitting and the IPL witnessed that for the first time this season. As RCB prepare for the squad for the upcoming seasons, Jacks will be in their plans and the Englishman is up for retention for next year.
Yash Dayal was roped in by RCB in the IPL 2024 auction. Despite a horrific outing last year with GT, Dayal has reinvented himself at the franchise. The young left-arm pacer has learned the trades and has emerged as one of the finest bowlers. With age on his side, Dayal can be a man for the future of RCB, in whom they might want to invest and retain for the next cycle.
Mohammed Siraj is a seasoned performer for RCB. The India pacer had a moderate outing this season but is likely to be retained by the franchise. The fast bowler is by far the most prolific name in their bowling lineup and RCB won't wish to make the same mistake that they did with Yuzvendra Chahal and Harshal Patel.
