Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have suffered a setback as one of their star players has recently been diagnosed with Covid-19.
After almost four years since the first outbreak of the disease, the pandemic-causing virus has now spread among a few Australian players, and RCB star Cameron Green is one of them.

Australia were hit by Covid when Travis Head tested positive a few days back. And now ahead of the 2nd Test against West Indies, Cameron Green and Andrew McDonald have fallen ill.
"Cameron Green and Andrew McDonald will be separated from the group until they return a negative test," Cricket Australia said in a statement.
The current Covid protocol allows the players to take part in the match and it is expected that Green will be participating in the match if he doesn't feel too sick. But the Australian star has a chronic kidney issue, hence the team management will have to think carefully before playing him.
Cameron Green was roped in by RCB ahead of the IPL 2024 auction. He was part of a cash deal trade move from Mumbai Indians, and the sturdy Australian star is supposed to wear the Red of RCB in the upcoming IPL season.
But the diagnosis of Covid-19 is going to be a huge blow as it jeopardizes the chances of Green being fully fit ahead of the IPL. But it is expected that the player will get fully fit within a couple of weeks. As of now, his Covid is of no concern and the all-rounder is certain to take part in the IPL 2024 for the Royal Challengers.
Green's fellow Australia teammate Travis Head caught Covid earlier but he has tested negative and is ready to play in the 2nd Test against the West Indies. Australia lead the series 1-0 and will be eager to wrap things up in the Pink Ball Test in Brisbane which starts from Thursday.
