RCB vs CSK, IPL 2023: 4 Players Who Will Take Most Wickets In Today's Match

Royal Challengers Bangalore will look to carry their winning momentum when they clash with Southern rivals Chennai Super Kings in Match 24 of IPL 2023 on Monday (April 17) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Faf Du Plessis' RCB will look to make it two wins on the bounce after the victory over Delhi Capitals when they face MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings, who lost to last season's runners up Rajasthan Royals in their most recent outing.

Mohammed Siraj and Tushar Deshpande

RCB, who have 2 wins of 2 this season, opened their campaign with a win over Mumbai Indians, but followed that with defeats to Kolkata Knight Riders and Lucknow Super Giants. However, the Bangalore-based side bounced back with a win over DC to stop the slide.

CSK, meanwhile, opened their campaign with a defeat to defending champions Gujarat Titans, but responded with back-to-back wins over LSG and MI before their run was halted by the inaugural champions RR.

RCB vs CSK: 4 Players who can take most wickets in the Match

Here are four players who can star for their team with the ball in the match between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore, and end up as the top wicket-takers in Match 24 of IPL 2023.

Tushar Deshpande (CSK): Started off as an Impact player, Deshpande has stepped up for CSK in the absence of their primary options including Deepak Chahar. The pacer has bowled well in the death and has 7 wickets to his name so far.

Maheesh Theekshana (CSK): The Sri Lankan spinner was not at his best in CSK's last match, but has the ability to strike at any period of the match, especially the powerplay, where he can decimate the RCB batting line up.

Mohammed Siraj (RCB): The Indian pacer has been in brilliant form this season and also in the lead up to the tournament. He has 7 wickets in 4 matches so far in IPL 2023 and is expected to add to his tally when he takes the new ball for RCB.

Wanindu Hasaranga (RCB): The Sri Lankan leg-spinner did not have a great outing last time out, but still ended up with a wicket. He was among the leading wicket-takers last season and is expected to slowly make his mark in 2023, starting with the CSK match.
