RCB vs CSK IPL 2024: Four Batters Who Can Score Most Runs in Match 68

RCB vs CSK: Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will lock horns with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Match 68 of the IPL 2024. The highly-anticipated game will go all guns blazing at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on May 18, Saturday at 7:30 PM (IST).

It is going to be an absolute cracker of the contest as both teams' fate will rely on the result. RCB have to win at least by a margin of 18 runs if they bat first to qualify for the playoffs. If they bat second, then they will have to chase down the target in 11 or more balls to spare.

RCB vs CSK

On the contrary, CSK need just a point to qualify for the playoffs, meaning that even a washout will do the trick. However, if they manage to squeeze out a winning result, they have a clear shot at moving to the second place should the Royals lose the next game and if SRH get no more than 1 point from their final match.

When both teams faced each other in the reverse fixture, CSK won the game by six wickets. Let's take a look at the four batters who can muster the most runs in the Match 68 of the competition.

1. Virat Kohli: Former RCB captain Virat Kohli is certain to step up and deliver the goods for the team in the must-win game. He is currently the leading run-scorer of IPL 2024 with 661 runs in 13 games at an average of 66.10 and a strike rate of 155.16. Kohli scored 21 off 20 in the reverse fixture against CSK before falling prey to Mustafizur Rahman's bowling.

2. Ruturaj Gaikwad: CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad was disappointed after he failed to bring the best out of himself against RCB in the tournament opener in Chennai. He scored 15 off 15 balls before getting dismissed by Yash Dayal. Gaikwad has picked up great form since then, scoring 583 runs in 13 games at a strike rate of 141.50 and is currently the second leading run-scorer of this edition.

3. Glenn Maxwell: The Australian international was expected to lead the batting attack by example this season. However, he failed to live up to his expectations. He was dismissed for a golden duck in the reverse fixture against CSK as he fell prey to Deepak Chahar's bowling. We expect Maxwell to come through with flying colours in the crucial clash.

4. Shivam Dube: Shivam Dube has been one of CSK's most important players this season. The left-hander loves batting against RCB as he averages 113.50 against them. He registered 46 (32), 95* (46), 52 (27) and 34* (28) in the last four outings. Dube scored 389 runs in 13 games at an exceptional strike rate of 169.87.
