Royal Challengers Bengaluru will welcome Delhi Capitals at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday (May 12) in the Match 62 of IPL 2024.
Both of the teams have met on 30 occasions in the past and the Bengaluru side dominates with 18 wins in their favour. DC has only eleven wins and one match ended with no results. In their last five battles, RCB has won four of them.

As of now, DC have a serious chance to reach the playoffs, as they stand at fifth with 12 points in twelve matches. CSK and LSG also have the same points in the same number of matches.
For RCB, after a six-match losing streak, they suddenly made a comeback and won four matches in a row. DC also beat RR in their last match, which will give them confidence for the upcoming matches.
The traditional approach by RCB to make a batting-heavy squad again backfired on them this season. The poor performances by the bowling squad cost RCB a lot of matches so far.
But in the last few matches RCB bowlers are delivering some decent displays which fuelled by their strong batting line-up helped them to make the comeback.
Yash Dayal and Mohammed Siraj are getting wickets though they remain expensive throughout the season. In the spin department, Karn Sharma has been brilliant. Swapnil Singh will be their other option in spin departments.
Delhi Capitals' pace-attack is highly dependent on Khaleel Ahmed and Mukesh Kumar. Though this pace duo have success in getting wickets, their expensive spells cost DC very much this season.
On the other hand, Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel have been exceptional but the flat wickets and small boundary size of the ground prove them ineffective.
Yash Dayal (RCB): The 26-year-old left-arm medium-fast bowler had a rough start of the season but eventually made a comeback and has been an indispensable part of the RCB pace-battery. Dayal has bagged 10 wickets so far this season and along with Mohammed Siraj, he will try to topple the big-hitters-filled DC top order in the early overs of the innings.
Karn Sharma (RCB): The Indian right-arm leg-spinner has played six matches in this IPL so far, and picked six wickets on the way. He could be the key to stopping in-form DC batters like Jake-Fraser McGruk and Tristan Stubbs, who have been beaten by leg spin five times combined this season.
Mukesh Kumar (DC): The 30-year-old right-arm medium pacer has picked 15 wickets in just eight matches and is also the highest wicket-taker for DC so far. Kumar will be crucial to get an early breakthrough against the star-studded RCB top order.
Khaleel Ahmed (DC): The Indian left-arm medium-fast bowler despite being expensive has bagged 14 wickets this season. The 26-year-old will be crucial against the heavily right-hand biassed batting line-up of RCB. Along with Mukesh Kumar, he will be a good match-up to stop Rajat Patidar who has a weakness against the pace bowling.
After staying at the bottom of the table for most of the season, RCB took an uphill task to reach the playoffs and a single defeat can jeopardise their efforts while DC have some tough competition for a spot in the playoffs.
RCB will be confident owing to their recent forms despite their horrendous home records. DC also beat RR in the last match and will try their best to continue their winning streak. Hence, a nail-biting thriller can be expected from these two belligerents in this Sunday evening battle.
