Royal Challengers Bangalore suffered their fifth consecutive loss in the WPL as they were beaten by Delhi Capitals on Monday (March 13).
RCB set a target of 151 and the Capitals got to their total despite a minor slump as Jess Jonassen and Marizanne Kapp took them home with a couple of balls to spare.
RCB captain Smriti Mandhana failed with the bat but Ellyse Perry and Richa Ghosh propelled them to a respectful total of 150. Delhi Capitals had a stuttering start as Shafali Verma and Meg Lanning didn't have their paramount impact on the day, but Jemimah Rodrigues, Alice Capsey, and then Kapp and Jonassen got them the two points in the match.
Here is the list of all awards from the WPL match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals-
Ellyse Perry got the award for hitting 5 sixes in her fantastic inning. She scored 67 runs with the bat but couldn't prevent her team's 5th defeat on the trot.
Delhi Capitals' all-rounder Jess Jonassen was awarded the player of the match for her brilliant batting at the end. It was her inning that proved to be the telling factor in a close match as Jonassen scored an unbeaten 29 runs off just 15 balls and scored the winning runs for DC.

"Really good effort by the bowlers to take it till the 20th over. Lots of improvements but lots to work on still. That partnership (Richa Ghosh and Ellyse Perry) brought us back into the game. They both used their experience to get us to a defendable total. It gave momentum back to our inning. It was not the best of starts, including my batting. That first 14 overs did really hurt us. 10-15 runs more there would have helped. Yes, the pitch is changing. The number of matches being played at these venues, towards the fag end, I think wickets will get slower."
"It was a close in the end there, JJ (Jess Jonassen) and Kappy (Marizanne Kapp) did an excellent job to keep their composure. RCB bowled well through the middle. We executed our plans very well and we have done that throughout the tournament. We have a lot to work on and lot to learn, but a win under pressure will do wonders for us. I am trying to stay calm and that's the T20 game for you as you are always under the pump. The girls have been excellent. Shikha Pandey is bowling extremely well and she has been a bit under the radar, and having Kapp and Jess on the field helps as well."
Delhi Capitals stay 2nd in the table and are level on points with top-placed Mumbai Indians with 8 points. RCB, on the other hand, stay bottom with yet to open their tally after five matches.
