RCB vs GT Awards List: In the 14th match of IPL 2025 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Gujarat Titans (GT) registered a dominant win over Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), comfortably chasing down a target of 170 with eight wickets in hand.
RCB's homecoming ended on a sour note and Gujarat Titans have now won two matches in a row this season.

RCB, after being put in to bat, faltered early in their innings. Virat Kohli managed just 7 runs, while Devdutt Padikkal and Phil Salt also failed to provide a strong start, departing for 4 and 14 respectively. The team found themselves in trouble at 42 for 4, staring at another collapse.
However, Liam Livingstone and Jitesh Sharma steadied the innings with a crucial partnership. Livingstone played a vital knock of 54 off 40 balls, showing aggression in the middle overs, while Jitesh chipped in with a brisk 33 off 21. Tim David added 32 towards the end to push RCB to a modest total of 169 for 8 in their 20 overs. Mohammed Siraj was the pick of the bowlers for GT, delivering a fiery spell and finishing with impressive figures of 3 for 19.
In reply, Gujarat Titans made the chase look easy. Openers Sai Sudharsan and Jos Buttler gave them a solid start, rotating strike well and punishing the bad balls. Sudharsan was dismissed for 49, narrowly missing out on a fifty, but Buttler held firm and anchored the chase with a composed yet aggressive innings.
But Buttler played a scintillating knock as he remained unbeaten on 73 runs off 39 deliveries. Sherfane Rutherford also scored a decent 30 off just 18 balls as they cantered home with more than two overs to spare.
Rajat Patidar (RCB Captain): We were targeting around 190 after the powerplay, but losing early wickets harmed this match. I think the intent was good, but we shouldn't have lost as many as 3 wickets in the PP, it was one wicket too many. The conditions did get better, the bowlers were amazing trying to defend this total, to take this chase into the 18th over was amazing to watch. The way Jitesh, Liam Livingstone, and Tim David, the way they batted, it was a positive for us. We're confident about the batting line-up, they're showing some positive intent which is very good for us.
Shubman Gill (GT Captain): Restricting them to 170 was a good effort. The wicket has something in it sometimes; you can score 250 as well as get early wickets, there was something for the fast bowlers in the first 7-8 overs and we knew if we pick early wickets, then we are in the game. You are disappointed but you need to keep coming back, grab the next opportunity. It was a clinical chase from us. We might have to adapt and act accordingly.
