As for RCB vs GT team news, Kagiso Rabada misses out for GT due to personal reasons. Arshad Khan replaces the South African pacer in the playing 11 from the team that handed MI a defeat at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad last week.

RCB, on the other hand, remain unchanged from their victory over CSK at the Chepauk last week, meaning Bhuvneshwar Kumar continues to keep his place in the eleven after missing the opener against KKR. Here is what the captains said:

What the RCB and GT captains said at the toss?

After opting to bowl first, GT skipper Gill said, "Looks like a good wicket. We've seen the conditions don't change much. We're all about reducing our unforced errors. We'll try to finetune the areas that need it. Kagiso misses out due to personal reasons so we've got Arshad Khan back."

Meanwhile, RCB captain Patidar, who also would have preferred to chase, said, "it's a new surface. It's pretty hard and won't change much. The way boys are chipping in gives a lot of confidence as a captain. We love this crowd. The way they love us and the support we've always received is incredible. Same team."
