Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will look to carry winning form at home when they host a confident Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in match 10 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Friday (March 29).
Faf Du Plessis-led RCB come into the match on the back of a 4-wicket win over Punjab Kings at the same venue, while Shreyas Iyer’s KKR opened their campaign with a 4-run victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

RCB, who opened the season with a 6-wicket loss to Chennai Super Kings in Chennai, rode on Virat Kohli’s 77 off 49 and Dinesh Karthik’s late cameo of 28 not out from 10 balls to chase down 177 against PBKS.
KKR, on the other hand, rode on Andre Russell (64 off 25) and Phil Salt (54 off 40) to set a challenging target of 209 which seemed insufficient when Heinrich Klaasen smashed 63 off 29, but Harshit Rana’s last over sealed the deal for his side, restricting SRH to 204/7.
Now, RCB will look to make it two wins on the trot at their home – M Chinnaswamy Stadium, where they won only 3 of the seven fixtures last season. Plus, they will also be wary of their record against KKR at the venue.
The two teams met twice last season at the Eden Gardens and the KSCA Stadium, where KKR did the double over RCB. Here is a look at the head to head numbers and all the other details.
In the 32 KKR vs RCB head to head meetings in IPL so far, Kolkata Knight Riders holds the edge with 18 wins against RCB, who have won 14 such ties. In the last 6 meetings, the Knights hold a 4-2 record against RCB.
