Kolkata Knight Riders left out Nitish Rana from the squad from today's match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, which has raised a lot of questions.
Shreyas Iyer, the KKR captain, won the Toss and elected to Field first. In terms of the team news, KKR made a change as Anukul Roy came in replacing Nitish Rana.

Nitish Rana, who captained KKR last year, was a surprise exclusion, and the KKR fans were confused about Rana's status when the southpaw was not even mentioned in the Impact Players list.
Nitish Rana suffered a finger injury in the last match against SRH. The left-handed batter hasn't fully recovered and that is why Rana wasn't included in the team for the Knight Riders. KKR team management is confident that he may be fit soon, but no timeline has been given.
Rana scored 9 runs in the last match against SRH and is hoping for a bigger impact. The 30-year-old recently said his ultimate wish in the IPL.
"I believe I can get 600 runs in IPL 2024 and I will be aiming for that," Rana said ahead of the start of the competition. The southpaw led KKR last season and has been a mainstay at the franchise from the last few seasons. Rana has been a prolific run scorer for KKR over the years and his untimely injury will be a blow for them.
