RCB vs LSG: Lucknow Fans Unforgiving After KL Rahul Gets Out Cheaply, Villify Him On Twitter

Fans took to Twitter to express their disappointment with KL Rahul's performance yet again, as the Lucknow Super Giants captain failed to make a substantial impact during the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2024.

Rahul's brief innings, consisting of a 14-ball 20, saw glimpses of brilliance with two well-executed sixes, including a stunning straight drive. However, his inability to convert his starts into big innings left fans underwhelmed.

Some of the fans saw the humourous side of KL Rahul's early dismissal as some RCB fans were found tweeting that it's a big blow for them while some LSG fans tweeted that with KL Rahul gone, they can aim for 200 runs.

Some of the fans felt that the pressure created by fans of scoring at a higher strike rate is getting under his skin and forcing him to throw away his wicket with rash shot-making decisions like today.

"Seems #KLRahul could have easily scored more but all the talks about his SR and impact game in T20 vs scoring big etc. means he threw away wicket to have 20(13b)," wrote CS Jigar Shah.

Criticism often surrounds Rahul's strike rate in the T20 format, particularly as his scoring rate tends to drop after the powerplay overs. Despite scoring a commendable 44-ball 58 in LSG's opening match against Rajasthan Royals, his efforts went in vain as the team fell short of the 193-run target by 20 runs. Subsequent performances, including a 9-ball 15 in the following game against Punjab Kings, further added to the frustration among fans.

The pressure mounts on Rahul to deliver substantial contributions consistently, especially as the captain of Lucknow Super Giants.
