Royal Challengers Bangalore will kickstart their IPL 2023 campaign at home against Mumbai Indians on Sunday (April 2). RCB finished third last season in the IPL while the five-time champions Mumbai Indians had a dismal period, finishing 9th in the league table.
It will be a monumental clash between two of India's biggest names - Virat Kohli of RCB and Mumbai's own son Rohit Sharma. Two of India's gladiators will lock horns with a win in mind. MI will be hoping to shrug off their last season blues, while RCB eye a positive start at home.

Match Time and Venue: The IPL 2023 match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians will be played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore on Sunday (April 2). The match will start at 7.30 pm IST on Sunday.
Live Stream and Telecast: The IPL 2023 Match 5 between RCB and MI will be broadcast live on Star Sports network in multiple languages. Indian viewers can also enjoy live stream of the match through the JioCinema app and website.
Royal Challengers Bangalore: Faf du Plessis (C), Virat Kohli, Suyash Prabhudessai, Rajat Patidar, Dinesh Karthik, Anuj Rawat, Finn Allen, Glenn Maxwell, Wanindu Hasaranga, Shahbaz Ahmed, Harshal Patel, David Willey, Karn Sharma, Mahipal Lomror, Mohammed Siraj, Josh Hazlewood, Siddarth Kaul, Akash Deep, Reece Topley, Himanshu Sharma, Manoj Bhandage, Rajan Kumar, Avinash Singh, Sonu Yadav, Michael Bracewell (as replacement for Will Jacks)
Mumbai Indians: Rohit Sharma (c), Tim David, Ramandeep Singh, Tilak Varma, Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, Tristan Stubbs, Dewald Brevis, Jofra Archer, Arjun Tendulkar, Arshad Khan, Kumar Kartikeya, Hrithik Shokeen, Jason Behrendorff, Akash Madhwal, Cameron Green, Piyush Chawla, Duan Jansen, Vishnu Vinod, Shams Mulani, Nehal Wadhera, Raghav Goyal, Sandeep Warrier (as replacement for Jasprit Bumrah)
Predicting this match will not be a wise act as it has all the ingredients to be a blockbuster.
RCB do have Virat Kohli's flair, Glenn Maxwell's devastation in their Arsenal, while MI possess the poise of Rohit Sharma and the fearlessness of Cameron Green, coupled with the finesse of Suryakumar Yadav. Jasprit Bumrah will be a major miss for the five-time Champions, but they will bank on the likes of Jason Behrendorff and Jofra Archer.

RCB bowling unit will be spearheaded by Josh Hazlewood and Mohammed Siraj, but lack of quality spinner can be an issue for them. Faf du Plessis' side will be having their amazing fans behind them, and their vibrant home support gives them a certain advantage.
Comparing the two squads, the balance in the RCB team is definitely just ahead of Mumbai, who will have to live life without their star bowler. Hence, in this match, we believe RCB will have the upper hand and may leave the Chinnaswamy pitch with all two points.
