Put into bat, Royal Challengers Bengaluru lost four quick wickets, including skipper Smriti Mandhana (26 off 13 balls), but Ellyse Perry's 81 off 43 balls and Richa Ghosh's 28 off 25 balls ensured the team reach a challenging total of 167/7 in their allotted 20 overs at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

In response, Mumbai Indians lost openers Yastika Bhatia and Hayley Matthews quickly, but fought back through swift knocks from captain Harmanpreet and Nat Sciver Brunt before an unbeaten knock from Amanjot proved vital as the visitors sealed the win with 1 ball to spare thanks to a boundary from young G Kamilini.

MI-W all-rounder Amanjot Kaur bagged the player of the match award for her all-round display – her figures of 3 for 22 in 3 overs helped restrict RCB to 167 before seeing Mumbai Indians home with an unbeaten 34 off 27 balls.
RCB star Ellyse Perry was the top run-getter on the night with 81 off 43 balls, Mumbai Indians skipper Harmanpreet Kaur (50 off 38 balls) was the next highest run-scorer in yesterday’s match.
RCB’s spinner Georgia Wareham was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3 for 21 in her 4 overs, while MI’s Amanjot Kaur also chipped in with three wickets conceding 22 runs in her 3 overs spell.
