RCB vs PBKS, IPL 2024: Four Batters Who Can Score Most Runs in Match 6

RCB vs PBKS: Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will play against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the sixth game of IPL 2024 on March 25, Monday. The game will get underway at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru at 7:30 PM (IST).

It wasn't a good start for Faf du Plessis and Co. as they lost to Chennai Super Kings in the tournament opener at Chepauk. CSK defeated RCB by 6 wickets whereas PBKS kick-started their campaign with a win over Delhi Capitals at home.

The Mohali-based franchise won the game by 4 wickets with four balls to spare. RCB will be playing the upcoming game in the home conditions and will be looking to open their account.

They will expect their marquee players to up the ante and do the honours. Let's now take a look at the four batsmen from both teams who can score the most runs in the sixth game of the tournament.

1. Virat Kohli: Former RCB captain Virat Kohli must be really disappointed with his dismissal against CSK in the tournament opener. The IPL's leading run-getter got off to a steady start but before he could switch gears, he fell prey to Mustafizur Rahman's bowling and departed for 21 off 20.

However, he will be looking forward to delivering the goods in the home game against Punjab Kings. Overall, he scored 861 runs in 30 appearances against PBKS including a century and three fifties.

2. Shikhar Dhawan: PBKS captain Shikhar Dhawan got off to a pretty decent start against DC in the last game. He smacked 4 fours during his stay at the crease before he was dismissed by Ishant Sharma for 22 runs.

The senior pro must have been frustrated with the way he got out but will be looking to make the amends in the upcoming fixture. The 38-year-old has amassed 679 runs, including six half-centuries in the 25 appearances against RCB.

3. Glenn Maxwell: RCB's prolific all-rounder Glenn Maxwell had a bad day at the office against CSK where he was dismissed for a first-ball duck.

The Australian international will be raring to score a chunk of runs against his former franchise on a batting friendly surface. Having played 125 games in the lucrative IPL, the 35-year-old scored 2719 runs including 18 fifties with an exceptional batting strike rate of 157.5.

4. Sam Curran: England international Sam Curran was adjudged the Player of the Match for his batting masterclass against DC in the last game.

PBKS largely benefitted from his valuable services in the run-chase where he top-scored with 63 off 47 (6 fours, 1 six), which came in a winning cause. This special knock must have augmented his confidence levels and will be looking to cash in on the chances to better effect against RCB.
