Royal Challengers Bengaluru are set to lock horns against Punjab Kings in the IPL 2025 final on Tuesday (June 3) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
As the IPL 2025 final approaches, captains Rajat Patidar of RCB and PBKS captain Shreyas Iyer shared their thoughts on the journey so far and the upcoming challenge.

BCCI has released a video as the final frontier where the two captain spoke about the journey and the finale, which will crown a new champion this year. RCB and PBKS, who have featured in 3 and 1 final respectively, have never won the title and victory will crown them champions for the first time.
"Absolutely thrilled to be part of the final, first of all, and it's going to be a great competition. Campaign has been fabulous. Right from first game we started with the win and that's how you stabilize the rhythm in the tournament. And I personally feel the environment and the camaraderie of the team was phenomenal right from the start," Iyer said in the video.
Iyer also praised the younger players stepping up during crucial moments. The likes of Priyansh Arya, Nehal Wadhera have played a crucial part for the team so far and the PBKS captain acknowledged that.
"The youngster stepping up at the right time, few of them are playing their first IPL season. This season they came up and they stood their hands up saying that, okay, I'm going to take the responsibility and see to it that I win the matches for the team and they've showcased this in almost every other game. So that's a sign of a great team," he added.
Rajat Patidar, leading RCB in his first season as captain, expressed satisfaction with the team's performance. It has been a superb outing for RCB this season who would be hoping to take the extra mile and win their maiden trophy.
"I think I'm quite satisfied the way we have played till now. All the hate goes to all the players. As a captain, I always believe in the bowling unit. They've done pretty much well till now, nine to 10 men of the match in the different matches," Patidar said.
"It's a new day. It's a fresh start. We have to be on the top and we have to again execute our plans better. We have made outstanding effort and I feel that there's only one step left to accomplish at the moment," the RCB skipper added.
Both captains are poised to lead their teams with determination and focus as they vie for the IPL 2025 title.
