RCB vs PBKS IPL 2025: Rajat Patidar Joins Elite Club with 1000 IPL Runs, Becomes 2nd Fastest Indian To Achieve It
RCB vs PBKS: Rajat Patidar etched his name into Royal Challengers Bengaluru's history books on Friday night, becoming only the third Indian to cross the 1000-run milestone for the franchise.
His decent knock in a rain-affected clash against Punjab Kings placed him among the fastest Indians to reach the four-digit mark in the Indian Premier League.

After a frustrating delay of 2 hours and 15 minutes due to persistent drizzle at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, the much-anticipated match finally got underway. The contest was reduced to 14 overs a side, but that didn't dampen the spirit of the home crowd - or Rajat Patidar.
The RCB skipper couldn't make the most of the shortened format as he went back to the pavilion with a fiery cameo. In doing so, Patidar joined an elite list of Indians to score 1000 IPL runs for Royal Challengers Bengaluru, following in the footsteps of Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal.
Notably, Patidar reached the milestone in just 30 innings, making him the second-fastest Indian to the landmark, only behind Sai Sudharsan, who did it in 25 innings. He overtook some notable names in the process:
25 innings - Sai Sudharsan
30 innings - Rajat Patidar
31 innings - Sachin Tendulkar & Ruturaj Gaikwad
33 innings - Tilak Varma
He later on was dismissed for 23 and RCB crumbled down like a pack of cards as at the timing of writing this article, Bengaluru were batting at 57/7. Nonetheless, the achievement underscores Patidar's growing stature in the RCB camp. In a rain-truncated match where margins are tight and every run matters, his calm yet explosive innings proved vital.
