RCB vs PBKS Toss Update, Playing 11 IPL 2025 Match 34: Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer opted to bowl first after winning the toss against Royal Challengers Bengaluru following much delay due to rain and wet outfield at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on April 18, 2025 (Friday).
The match has been reduced to 14-over-a-side affair due with the powerplay will be of four overs. Three bowlers can bowl four overs and one bowler can bowl maximum two overs.

After winning the toss, Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer said, "We will bowl first. It's a good ground to chase and it'[s a rain-interrupted game, overs have been reduced, will have a fair idea of how the wicket will play and that was always the plan. Stoinis comes in for Maxwell, and Harpreet Brar is in. We need to have the right players at the right place, especially the angles."
Meanwhile, RCB captain Rajat Patidar said: "We have to be smart in adapting to the conditions, we'll try our best. A bit sticky, but the surface looks hard, we will put up a good total on the board. Same team, but I'm confused about the impact player."

The surface at Chinnaswamy Stadium hasn't been the batting paradise many expected this IPL season. RCB has struggled to post big totals despite batting first in both of their home games, failing to cross the 170-run mark. On one occasion, swing and seam proved too challenging; on another, spinners extracted unexpected grip and turn. These unpredictable conditions have even caught the home side off guard, as acknowledged by team mentor Dinesh Karthik.
