Virat Kohli's popularity in the entire country is unmatched, and we witnessed another instance during the IPL 2024 match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings on Monday (March 25).

A fan invaded the security barrier at the Chinnaswamy Stadium to get to the pitch for a Virat Kohli moment as the Indian star was batting for RCB in the match.

He was captured touching the feet and hugging Kohli before the security personnel came and separated the fan. Kohli was seen unfazed by his fan and tried to get away from the man's grasp before security ushered the person away from the pitch.

Kohli has been batting in superb style in the run chase. The RCB batter has hit a flurry of boundaries after a second chance. Kohli was dropped by Jonny Bairstow when he was zero, and since then, he has released himself.

Virat Kohli has already hit 8 fours and is batting on 40 off 26 balls. He has looked extremely solid and determined as RCB chase the 177 target set by Punjab Kings. The 35-year-old scored 21 runs against Chennai Super Kings in the first match of the season, and has found his batting prowess again in the ongoing match.

The stalwart player is expected to play a huge part for Bengaluru this season, especially if they are to end their trophy drought.
