RCB vs RR Toss Report: Royal Challengers Bengaluru are up against Rajasthan Royals in Match 42 of IPL 2025 on Today (Thursday, April 24).
RCB has faced challenges at home this season, losing all three matches played at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. Despite being in the top four of the points table, their home performance has been a concern.

RR, currently eighth in the standings, have also struggled, losing six out of eight matches. The absence of their regular captain, Sanju Samson, due to injury, adds to their challenges.
The Chinnaswamy Stadium is known for its batting-friendly conditions, with small boundaries and a flat pitch. However, recent matches have seen varied outcomes, making the toss decision crucial. For this match, the surface looks a decent one and possibly has more runs on offer. But Anil Kumble reckons it will still be on a bit slower side and the players will have to adapt before playing their shots.
Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag won the Toss and Chose to Bowl First.

RR Impact Player: Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Kumar Kartikeya, Akash Madhwal, Kunal Singh Rathore, Yudhvir Singh Charak
Riyan Parag confirmed a change as Afghan pacer Fazalhaq Farooqi comes in for Maheesh Theekshana.
"We will bowl first. The wicket looks a bit sticky and should get better later on. It's back to our ethics now, if we can give our 100 percent, the results will take care of themselves. Sanju (Samson) bhai is recovering and hopefully he will be back soon. One change for us. Theekshana is out and Farooqi is in," said Parag at Toss.
"We would have loved to bowl first as well, the surface has been tricky and unpredictable this season and we will try to adapt as quickly as we can. We have to be good at shot-selection. We are going with the same team," RCB captain Rajat Patidar said after losing the toss.
