RCB vs RR: Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) will lock horns in the Eliminator of the IPL 204 playoffs at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Wednesday, May 22.
RCB finished fourth in the league stage by beating Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 27 runs in their last match. The win helped Bangalore equal Chennai's 14 points but a better Net Run Rate (NRR).

Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals (RR), on the other hand, shared a point with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in their last league stage match. Rajasthan and Hyderabad finished at 17 points each, but the former had to settle for a third-place finish due to an inferior Net Run Rate (NRR).
Royal Challengers Bengaluru have won six matches on the bounce now, and are looking to make it seven in a row and book a berth in Qualifier 2 against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), who lost by eight wickets against KKR on Tuesday. RCB lost seven of their first eight matches. The side which features the likes of Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell, lost six matches on the trot before winning as many matches without losing.
However, if RCB lose their Eliminator match against Rajasthan Royals, they will crash out of the IPL 2024. Notably, the winner of Eliminator and loser of Qualifier 1 will clash against each other in Qualifier 2 in Chennai on Friday, May 24. The winner of Qualifier 2 will face KKR in the IPL 2024 final at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday, May 26.
