Sunrisers Hyderabad left a blazing trail of records as they posted a monumental total of 287 for 3 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Monday (April 15) in the ongoing IPL 2024 season.

There are plenty of records that were shattered during the fireworks by the SRH batter. The innings marked the highest-ever total in the history of the IPL and the second-highest in all forms of T20 cricket. We take a look at more such records in the list below.

  • Australian batter Travis Head etched his name in the IPL record books by notching the fourth-fastest century, a scintillating knock off just 39 balls. Head, along with opener Abhishek Sharma (34), spearheaded a formidable partnership of 108 runs, laying the foundation for Sunrisers Hyderabad's record-breaking total.

Furthermore, the match witnessed the fastest century partnerships for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL history, achieved in just 43 balls. Sunrisers Hyderabad's dominance was further emphasised by their explosive start in the powerplay, registering the highest powerplay scores in IPL history, including three of the top six scores in the 2024 season alone.

On the flip side, Royal Challengers Bengaluru's pace attack struggled to contain the onslaught in the powerplay, conceding three wickets at an average of 125.67, with an economy rate of 10.47, placing them at the bottom of the table in each of these parameters.
