In match 30 of IPL 2024, Royal Challengers Bengaluru will welcome Sunrisers Hyderabad at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Monday (April 15).

RCB vs SRH IPL 2024

Despite starting the season with a defeat against KKR, the Sunrisers did make a comeback and won three out of the next four matches. As a result after five matches, SRH is sitting fourth in the table with 6 points. For the hosts, this season is not going according to their plan. After losing five out of six matches they played, they are sitting at the bottom of the points table.

IPL 2024 RCB vs SRH: Bowling Squad Comparison

Throughout its history, the RCB has relied heavily on batters. Mohammed Siraj will spearhead the pace attack. There are additional fast bowlers, such as Alzarri Joseph, Reece Topley, Yash Dayal, Vijaykumar Vyshak, and Cameron Green. They will have Glenn Maxwell, Mahipal Lomror, and Mayank Dagar as options in a spin attack. This weak bowling line-up is costing RCB in almost every match, as the opponents are scoring or chasing down big scores very easily. RCb's bowling average in the powerplay this year is 91.75, it is the worst for any team in any season.

SRH has a pace-heavy bowling unit. SRH's pace battery boasts star players such as Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Pat Cummins, T. Natarajan, and Jayadev Unadkat. Their spin department will be reliant on Washington Sundar and Mayank Markande, as Wanindu Hasaranga will be unavailable for the season.

IPL 2024 RCB vs SRH: Who will be the Highest Wicket-takers?

Mohammed Siraj (RCB): The 30-year-old Indian bowler has taken 82 IPL wickets. He is the RCB squad's lone regular bowler with international experience. So far this IPL season, the right-arm fast bowler has four wickets in six matches. Siraj was the Challengers' leading wicket-taker in the previous IPL season, taking 19 wickets. His contribution will be critical for RCB this season.

Glenn Maxwell (RCB): The 36-year-old Australian veteran bowler despite being an irregular bowler for RCB able to get wickets then and now. The right-arm off-spinner has 35 wickets in his IPL career. In IPL 2024 Maxwell got 4 wickets so far. Along with being a middle-order power-hitter, his role as a spinner is equally vital for RCB to get some wickets in the middle overs of the innings.

Pat Cummins (SRH): Along with Bhuvneshwar Kumar, the SRH skipper will lead the team's bowling attack. The 31-year-old Australian fast bowler has already taken six wickets this season with a remarkable economy rate of 7.30, bringing his overall wicket tally to 57. Cummins' international cricket expertise will assist SRH in this match as well.

T. Natarajan (SRH): After starting the season with three wickets in the first match, he was forced to miss the next two due to a slight injury. However, the left-arm medium bowler has returned and took two wickets in two matches, taking his total wicket tally to 53. If Natarajan maintains his current form, he will undoubtedly cause problems for RCB bats in the early overs of the innings.

Though Chinnaswamy ground is not behaving as batting-friendly as it has done in the previous years, SRH batters will look forward to making a huge score if they bat first. It will be an uphill task for RCB bowlers to check SRH from getting a big score. Besides that both squads have some best of the T20 battersrecent times, hence a high-scoring thriller can be expected from this match.
