Glenn Maxwell's form and fitness was a concern for Royal Challengers Bengaluru after their last outing in IPL 2024 against the Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai last week.
RCB will be keen on arresting the slide, having lost four matches on the trot when they host a confident Sunrisers Hyderabad side at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Monday (April 15).

Faf Du Plessis' side has so far garnered just 2 points in 6 matches thanks to their solitary win at home. But the Bengaluru-based side has lost 2 successive home matches and most recently two away defeats to Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians.
RCB, who currently occupy the bottom spot on the IPL 2024 points table, has flopped on many fronts like powerplay bowling and batting, especially due to slump in form of Maxwell.
The Australian all-rounder has done better with the ball, but has failed in his primary role as the batter, scoring just 32 runs in 6 innings. Barring a 28 against Kolkata Knight Riders, Maxwell has registered scores of 0, 3, 0, 1 and 0.
The 35-year-old also picked up an injury to his thumb when fielding during the defeat to Mumbai Indians, leading to doubts over his availabilty for selection in tonight's match amidst his mediocre form.
Glenn Maxwell injury update: RCB's director of cricket Mo Bobat has said the Australian all-rounder has recovered from the injury, alleviating any concerns about his availability for the upcoming fixture.
"Maxi has had a couple of scans, and he's okay at the minute. So, there's no injury concerns. He's going to practice today and get more of a feel," said Bobat in the pre-match press meet in Bengaluru.
Bobat also backed Maxwell to turn things around soon by reminding about the all-rounder's performance in the last two years and hinted that the Australian will retain his place in the playing 11.
"He's disappointed. He obviously has high standards and has a very, very impressive 12 to 24 months. He's in our plans, and is an important part of our batting lineup. So, up until now, we're trying to support him as best as we can and help him find his best form," he said.
RCB dropped Maxwell's compatriot Cameron Green to hand a much anticipated debut to England all-rounder Will Jacks. The English star is also likely to retain his spot in the team, while Green may return to the side only if Maxwell or Reece Topley are omitted from the side.
